Follow me for 6 days of kitchen drawer organization! Day 1:
Editor's notes
This was supposed to be the grand kickoff to a week-long kitchen organization series. I dragged out all the clear plastic bins I owned and tackled the dreaded toddler drawer. You know the one. It is the place where weirdly shaped silicone spoons go to tangle themselves in the lids of snack cups. I spent the whole video sorting tiny forks, stray cookie cutters, washable bibs, and those little plastic plates that never quite stack right.
The transparent organizers are genuinely helpful because you can actually see when crumbs accumulate at the bottom. But honestly, the organizing part of this video completely flopped. Barely three hundred people watched it. The beginning was just too slow. I started by emptying the drawer piece by piece. That is apparently not the gripping content the internet craves.
The people who did stick around completely ignored my neat little compartments. They zoomed right in on the bulky yellow LifeVac sitting in the very back corner. I tucked it in there because the kitchen is where most choking scares happen. That single choice saved the post from being a total loss. The comments turned into an intense debate about the best places to store emergency gear. It goes to show that nobody really cares how you arrange your kid's utensils as long as you give them a chance to share their own parenting anxiety. Next time I reorganize a space, I will definitely start by showing the weirdest item first.
