This video is a perfect example of what happens when you rely entirely on a big smile. I was so excited to show off this oversized denim jacket that I just stared happily into the lens for the first two seconds. I put exactly zero text on the screen. I completely forgot to use a verbal hook. Naturally, almost everyone scrolled right past me. We barely broke 500 views on this one because I forgot my own lesson. You have to tell people why they should stay.

The funny thing is that the jacket itself is actually a really solid piece. It sits right in that sweet spot between a structured denim layer and a casual shirt. Most budget shackets cut straight across your hips. That straight horizontal line always makes me look like a walking block. This one features a really nice curved hem that swoops down in the back to cover your bum. It gives the whole outfit a much softer shape. I also noticed the chest pockets are genuinely functional. I can slip my bulky sunglasses all the way inside and button the flap shut. They do not fall out when I bend over to pick up my dropped keys.

Just a quick warning about the material. It comes out of the shipping bag feeling pretty rigid. You will definitely want to run it through a warm wash cycle before you wear it out. Once you break it in, the cotton relaxes nicely. I just wish I had actually given the internet a reason to pause the video and see it for themselves.
