In this video, I am trying on a cropped ankle pair with a decent amount of elastane. I actually started the clip by calling the color root beer. That was the only way I could think to describe the deep, warm brown shade.

The verdict on these is surprisingly positive. The barrel silhouette is intimidating. A lot of brands make them out of ultra rigid denim that feels like wearing actual cardboard. Because these have medium stretch, you can actually sit down in your car or bend over to pick up a dropped set of keys. The ankle crop is the real savior here because it shows just enough skin to balance out the width of the leg.

One thing you can see when I pull the fabric right up to the camera lens is the texture. It is not that flat, shiny stretch denim from 2012. It has a slightly brushed finish that makes the brown look expensive.

The algorithm completely swallowed this video whole. It got maybe sixty views total. I think people are still a little scared of brown denim. The few who did interact were entirely focused on the color. It is definitely harder to style than your standard blue wash, but if you pair it with a cream sweater or a simple white tee, it works beautifully.
