Ruffle Button Down Shirt, Long Sleeve Ruffle Trim Blouses, Loose Fit Vintage Dressy Casual Tops, Corduroy‑Textured Fabric, @Flowyair
Editor's notes
This video was a bit of a flop in the algorithm. It only pulled in a few hundred views with pretty quiet engagement. I think the oversized vintage ruffle trend might be wearing out its welcome for casual daily wear. But I still stand by this top for autumn layering. The video starts with my face right in the lens to tell you exactly what we are looking at. I do this because I know how frustrating it is to wait around just to see the actual garment.
At the four-second mark I bring the camera right up to the sleeve. That is the whole reason I ordered this piece. From far away it looks like a standard flat cotton blend. Up close it has a fine micro-corduroy texture that feels incredibly sturdy. My honest verdict is that the cut is slightly boxier than the brand photos imply. You will absolutely want to tuck it in if you have a short torso.
One tiny detail I love is that the ruffles on the collar stand up perfectly on their own. You do not need spray starch or an iron to keep them looking crisp. That is exactly the kind of low maintenance design I need when I am getting dressed in the dark before school. Even though the video did not take off, the people who did buy it understood the vision. It works beautifully under a basic crewneck sweater where just that structured collar peeks out at the neck.
