Striped Open Front Cardigan - Long Full Sleeves, Loose Fit Soft Knitwear

I posted this striped open front cardigan right as the September air started getting crisp. I opened the video by stepping directly into the camera lens to ask a quick question about finding knitwear that actually breathes. Stepping forward like that usually grabs attention right away because it feels like a real conversation.

The sweater itself is surprisingly decent. The knit feels like a thick cotton blend rather than that squeaky acrylic you usually find online. My favorite detail is the ribbing along the cuffs. It is tight enough to hold the sleeves pushed up to your elbows but loose enough that it leaves no red indentations on your skin. That is a very rare find in slouchy knitwear.

Despite the good fabric, this video completely flatlined with barely five hundred views. I am pretty sure I know why. Open front cardigans were heavily trending out of favor this particular season. People were hunting for chunky crewnecks or structured polo collars instead. Even though I leaned in close to show off the soft weave to recreate a tactile dressing room experience, viewers just scrolled past. The dismal engagement rate taught me a blunt lesson about seasonal timing. You can have a perfectly executed physical hook and great lighting. If the silhouette feels slightly dated to your audience, the algorithm will simply ignore you.
