Cropped hoodie, fleece lined, acid wash

If you found your way to this page while searching for fall layers, pull up a chair. This video is just me trying on a cropped acid wash hoodie I bought right before the weather turned. I started the clip by zooming way in on the interior fleece lining. I always do that when a brand claims something is soft because we all know that is a highly subjective word.

My honest verdict is that the sweatshirt is surprisingly well-made. The crop hits perfectly at the waistband of high-rise jeans, so you get the shape without exposing your stomach at school drop-off. The best part is a detail the camera misses entirely. The fleece inside does not shed. You can wear a dark shirt under this and take the hoodie off later without looking like you wrestled a sheep.

Even though the hoodie is great, this video was a total flop with my regular audience. It barely cleared five hundred views. I analyzed the metrics later and realized exactly where I went wrong. I smiled at the lens immediately, but I opened my mouth and delivered a completely flat intro. I did not give anyone a reason to care in those crucial first three seconds. The few viewers who stayed did appreciate the fabric close-up, but my weak hook meant most people just kept scrolling to the next thing.
