I posted this try-on video right before summer hit its peak to talk about those Halara pants everyone kept bringing up in the staff room. The premise is solid since we all want to look breezy but none of us have the patience to iron. The video shows me wearing the beige pair while doing a highly unscientific sit-test to prove they actually stay smooth.
Here is my entirely honest verdict. They truly do not crease when you sit in a hot car for forty minutes. You get out and still look crisp. The waistband is surprisingly sturdy, and the pockets are deep enough to completely hide a giant phone. You do need to know they are completely synthetic though. If you pay close attention, the material has a faint swishing sound like a very soft parachute. Only a fellow thick-thighed girl would notice the subtle friction noise when walking down a quiet school hallway.
My regular viewers honestly did not care for this post at all. The engagement basically flatlined. Looking back at it now, I sounded way too polished when I recorded the voiceover. It came off like a television script instead of me just telling you my thoughts on some affordable clothes. You guys can always sniff out when I try too hard to be a professional influencer. I learned my lesson. Next time I will just hold my phone while drinking iced coffee and tell you directly that they are a solid choice for surviving a humid Tuesday.
