I posted this review right at the end of June when we were all desperately looking for clothes that wouldn't make us melt. The video shows me trying on a short-sleeved open knit sweater from Tanming. I start out looking right into the camera to complain about how impossible it is to find a summer layer that breathes.

My honest verdict is that the shirt is a solid wardrobe staple. It gives off a very relaxed coastal energy. You can throw it over a bikini at the pool or wear it with a plain white camisole to a freezing cold movie theater.

I purposely zoomed in on the fabric weave right around the five second mark. If you look closely at that close-up shot, you will notice the yarn has a very faint pearlescent sheen to it. It is not just flat matte cotton. That tiny bit of gloss prevents it from looking like a cheap craft project.

Sadly, this video completely tanked on my feed. It barely scraped past six hundred views with practically zero engagement. I realized later that I forgot to put any text overlays on the screen. Because most people scroll in silence while waiting in line for coffee or pretending to work, they probably just saw a woman talking while holding up a sweater with holes in it. They kept right on scrolling without ever unmuting to hear my thoughts. If you are actually thinking about buying this top, that quick fabric zoom is still completely worth your time.
