I lean right into the lens to start this one. I was trying to show off these Evaless cropped pants without making it feel like a standard try-on video. I basically get right up in your personal space before stepping back to do a deep squat in the middle of my living room.

The pants themselves are surprisingly decent. They definitely give off that wealthy coastal grandmother vibe. The fabric is incredibly thin, which is exactly what you want for sticky June weather. My favorite detail is how the ruffle hem hits exactly an inch above the ankle bone. It completely hides your awkward sock line when you wear sneakers. I do have to admit the main waist button feels cheap. I fully expect to be reinforcing that thread with my own sewing kit by August.

This clip only pulled about six hundred views and pretty quiet engagement. The viewers who did stick around really appreciated the squat demonstration. It proved these are functional pants you can actually bend over in to pick up a toddler or a dropped set of keys. I suspect my mistake was the opening hook. I started speaking immediately while moving toward the camera, but I failed to put any text on the screen for the first few seconds. If you are scrolling in mute mode at the dentist office, you just see my giant forehead zooming in with zero context. A simple title about stretchy summer denim would have kept people from swiping past.
