Who doesn’t love a matching set?! This vibrantly striped two piece set is perfect for summer! So comfortable, oversized and flattering!

I start this video basically pressing my nose against the camera lens. It is a deliberate trick I teach people about video hooks. Leaning in close right at the beginning usually stops a viewer from scrolling past. In this one, I am showing off a vibrantly striped two-piece outfit that I bought on a whim. The colors are incredibly loud. It feels exactly like wearing a giant, soft beach towel.

The set itself is ridiculously comfortable. The top is intentionally oversized, and the shorts have a thick waistband that never digs in when you sit down. But honestly, it straddles the line between a cute summer outfit and actual pajamas. There is a specific detail about the collar that immediately gives away its cheap price point. One side refuses to lay flat no matter how much I steam it. That little flaw drives my brain absolutely crazy. I kept tugging at the lapel the entire time I was filming.

You can tell by the numbers that my audience was not buying the resort wear fantasy. This video barely scraped nine hundred views. The engagement was basically nonexistent. Moms usually love an easy matching set. However, I think the intense vertical stripes combined with the very baggy fit made it look a little too much like a clown costume for everyday school drop-offs. Or maybe everyone was just tired of seeing me buy loungewear. Either way, this piece ended up being my designated house-cleaning uniform rather than a summer staple.
