My honest verdict is that it holds up incredibly well to toddler physics. It is not completely impenetrable. If your kid leaves it upside down on the rug overnight, you will definitely find a tiny wet spot. The brand calls it leak-resistant. That is a very fair description. The handles are the best part because they feature a rubberized texture that feels strangely similar to a vintage steering wheel cover. It is exceptionally easy for sticky hands to grip. I did notice that the exact same rubber material attracts a decent amount of lint if you let it roll around in the bottom of your purse.
