Welcome to the graveyard of my good intentions. This video from May shows me modeling what I thought was the ultimate mom uniform. It is a matching set featuring an oversized tee and stretchy biker shorts. The fabric is undeniably soft. It feels like wearing a cloud while you chase your toddlers around the park.

My honest verdict is that this outfit is incredibly comfortable but completely unmemorable. It does exactly what it promises by hiding the stomach and covering the upper arms. I noticed right away that the bottom hem of the shirt is strangely thick. It does not drape naturally. It hangs there like a little stiff tent over the shorts. You have to constantly tuck one side into the waistband so you do not look like a walking rectangle.

The performance on this one was fairly abysmal. We barely broke seven hundred views. The low engagement tells me exactly what I need to know about this aesthetic. The clean girl mom vibe sounds great in theory. In practice, my audience scrolled right past because an oversized tee and spandex shorts just look like pajamas on the internet. Everyone already has four versions of this exact silhouette crumpled up in their laundry basket. It is a perfectly fine outfit for running errands or sitting on the couch. I just would not buy it expecting a major style upgrade.
