Home Goods Grand Opening 😍

I dragged myself to the local Home Goods grand opening because the lure of untouched merchandise was too strong. The video is basically me panning across perfectly stocked shelves of decorative baskets and aggressively cheerful throw pillows. It was early May, so I was hoping for some solid patio finds. I ended up getting distracted by the aisles of color-coordinated ceramic bowls instead.

My verdict on grand openings is that they are pure chaos mixed with a strange sense of victory. You will see grown adults speed-walking toward the faux potted olive trees. If you watch closely during the kitchenware pan, you can spot exactly three identical marble cheese boards stacked awkwardly in the back corner. I distinctly remember wanting to buy all three just to hoard them. I forced myself to walk away because my own cabinets are already a disaster.

Only four hundred people ended up watching this one. The algorithm simply did not care about my morning shopping trip. The viewers who did stick around were highly invested, though. Landing a seven percent engagement rate means the hardcore home organization crowd was paying close attention (and probably pausing the screen to squint at the price tags). Next time a store opens in town, I might skip the bouncy background music and just film a quiet, deeply realistic walkthrough of the clearance aisle.
