Post Disney depression is real. Good thing I’ll be back in a few weeks 🩷
Editor's notes
I posted this little clip of my Minnie ear collection right after we got back from Orlando. It is just me panning my camera over a wall of brightly colored headbands while sitting in a pile of unpacked suitcases. The hook was incredibly slow. The video only scooped up a few hundred views overall because non-Disney people just scrolled right past the sequins.
But the engagement rate sat comfortably over ten percent because the true park moms found it. They understand the specific hollow feeling of waking up in your own bed and realizing nobody is going to hand you a churro. My verdict is that buying colorful merchandise to cope with vacation withdrawal actually works for about two days. Then you are just left with a wall of accessories you cannot wear to the grocery store.
If you look closely at the bottom left of the frame, you will spot my classic red velvet ears. I panned right over them because velvet attracts lint like a permanent magnet. You can clearly see a fuzzy white string stuck to the bow from where it lived in my backpack next to a rogue pair of toddler socks. I usually reshoot when I notice things like that. Leaving it in felt like a very honest representation of family travel though. We are always just carrying around lint and extra socks.
