POV: you finally found the easiest way to get that lifted makeup look ✨ The Tart
Editor's notes
We are looking at a speed run of that concealer placement trick for a lifted face. The creator takes the Tarte Shape Tape, dabs it at the outer corner of her eye, and places a tiny stripe right below her cheekbone. She blends it out in about two seconds flat. The technique itself is honestly solid for faking a little bone structure when you are exhausted in the morning. That said, the actual Tarte concealer is famously drying. If you look closely at the outer corner of her left eye right after she blends, you can see the product settling into a tiny dry patch. I usually tell my students to use a hydrating serum concealer instead of a heavy matte paste if they want this trick to look natural in daylight.
As for the numbers, this one completely flopped. We barely cracked five hundred views. The creator actually had great pacing once the tutorial started, but the hook was just too slow. People swiped away before she even picked up her makeup sponge. I also think the whole lifted contour concept feels a bit dated right now. My audience definitely ignores anything that looks like a complex makeup routine. They want to know how to look awake in one minute, not how to sculpt their temples. Next time we test a makeup trick, I am framing it strictly around saving time for busy mornings.
