This video shows off one of those gorgeous wooden magnetic puzzle boxes that look fantastic on a playroom shelf. The lid props up to become a little dry erase board. You can stick the magnetic pieces to it to build little farm scenes. Honestly, it is a very clever design. It keeps all the tiny puzzle elements contained in one sleek tray. The problem is that toddlers do not care about keeping things contained.

If you look closely at the fifteen second mark, you will notice the little hinges on the lid are completely plastic. They look like metal on camera. They are actually a flimsy grey plastic that feels like it will snap if a three year old pushes it backward too hard. That is my teacher brain kicking in. A toy has to survive a tantrum to be worth the shelf space. I will say the magnetic backing on the puzzle pieces is surprisingly strong. They clack onto the board with a deeply satisfying thud.

My audience did not really show up for this one. It only grabbed a little over a thousand views with pretty weak engagement. I think the aesthetic mom demographic loves the idea of a neat wooden box. The reality of managing sixty scattered magnetic animal parts probably scared off the actual tired parents in my feed. It is definitely beautiful to look at. Just be prepared to find a magnetic cow head under your sofa cushion until the end of time.
