Contouring that takes seconds 🙌🏻
Editor's notes
Welcome to the page where I attempt to carve cheekbones out of my actual face. If you landed here from a Google search about beginner contouring, pull up a chair. In this video, I take the Tarte sculpt tape and draw two aggressive brown lines down my cheeks before blending them out in twelve seconds flat. I am notoriously intimidated by makeup. I wanted to see if this tube is actually foolproof or just another expensive mistake for my vanity drawer.
The verdict is that it works. The formula blends effortlessly into the skin. You do not need to be a professional makeup artist to make it look decent. My favorite detail from watching this back is my own physical reaction. You can actually see my shoulders drop in relief the moment the product starts melting into my foundation. I was bracing myself for a muddy streak across my face. Instead, it just looked like I had a great night of sleep. The sponge tip applicator does get a bit messy over time. The actual liquid inside is absolutely worth it.
This clip did not exactly break the internet. It landed a very humble four hundred views. My hook at the beginning was painfully slow. Most people probably scrolled away before I even picked up the tube. But the women who stayed in the comments really appreciated my complete lack of professional technique. They liked seeing someone figure it out in real time without ring lights or a complicated skin prep routine.
