This is the inexpensive tool that could prevent a house fire ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ”ฅ

Editor's notes

I bought this ridiculously long blue plastic hose after falling down an internet rabbit hole about laundry room safety. The video shows me attaching it to my vacuum and shoving it deep into the lint trap slot of my dryer. It is supposed to suck out all the stray fuzz that escapes the regular screen over the years.

The verdict is that it works almost too well. By the end of the clip, I pulled out a pile of gray fluff the size of a small kitten. It is genuinely gross but deeply satisfying to watch. If you look closely at the vacuum nozzle in the video, you will notice I had to wrap a piece of painter's tape around the connection point. The universal adapter they provided is just rigid plastic. It kept slipping right off my Shark vacuum every time I hit a tough clump of debris down in the vent.

Despite the dramatic reveal at the end, this video completely tanked. It barely scraped a thousand views with practically zero comments. I realized pretty quickly that my audience comes to me for lighthearted ideas or simple organizing methods. Reminding people that their appliances might spontaneously combust if they skip an annoying maintenance chore is a reliable way to make them scroll past. People want to feel inspired when they look at their phones. They definitely do not want to be assigned a heavy household worry.
