The technique itself actually works beautifully. You just stamp the liquid contour on and buff it out. My honest verdict is that these Tarte formulas are incredibly forgiving for beginners. They do not dry down immediately. You can pause to yell at your kids to find their shoes and the makeup will still blend perfectly when you get back to the mirror. The one critical detail is your blending sponge. It needs to be damp but wrung out tightly inside a dry washcloth. If your sponge holds too much water, the contour just slides down your face and settles into a muddy stripe on your jaw.

As for the audience reaction, this video was a complete flop. It barely scraped five hundred views. I thought opening the video with literal polka dots on my face would grab people. The truth is that my fellow moms are profoundly tired. They probably just want a reliable concealer and a very strong coffee. The idea of doing any sort of contour routine on a Tuesday morning was clearly too much effort.
