Looking for that glowy, sun-kissed skin look?! ✨ ☀️

Editor's notes

You probably landed here because you searched for quick mom makeup tutorials. In this video from a couple of springs ago, I tested the Tarte contour wand by stamping it in dots all over my cheekbones and forehead. You look absolutely unhinged for the first few seconds of this technique. My toddler actually pointed at my face and asked if I had mud on me. But the point of the video was showing you the real-time blending process. I refused to edit the speed because I wanted you to see exactly how many seconds it takes to buff out those harsh dots.

My honest verdict on the Tarte liquid contour is that the formula itself blends beautifully. It melts right into your skin with just a damp sponge. The packaging is another story entirely. The little cushion applicator gets crusty after three uses, which bothers my soul on a very deep level. I usually end up pulling the sponge tip off entirely so I can just dot the product straight from the plastic tube.

This video barely scraped five hundred views and got almost zero comments. My regular audience largely ignored it. I think the mom crowd on my page is past the point of doing full face sculpting for a Tuesday morning drop-off. The dotting hook usually grabs attention, but contouring just feels a bit heavy for our daily survival mode. If you are looking for a fast way to fake a nap, this product does actually work. Just remember to wash your blending sponge afterward.
