Build it, snap it, love it 🧲✨

I filmed my kids playing with a generic brand of magnetic tiles we bought last month. We all know the big name brands cost a fortune these days. This video walks through a cheaper alternative that actually survives a typical toddler Godzilla attack. My verdict is that they are totally worth the savings. The plastic feels slightly lighter than the premium sets, but the magnets have a really solid grip.

One detail I highlighted in the footage is the tiny metal rivets on every corner. My teacher brain always checks for those because cheap tiles often burst open when dropped on linoleum. These stay completely sealed. The set even includes a little car chassis and snap-in plastic windows.

Despite being a solid find, this video totally tanked for me. Barely six hundred people watched it. I think the hook was just too slow. I started by talking about household budgets instead of throwing the tiles at the camera to show how they connect. The few parents who stuck around to comment were happy to save some money on a birthday gift. Next time I share toys, I will definitely lead with action instead of a monologue.
