I posted this short clip showing my attempt at using those liquid Tarte contour and blush wands. I started the video looking like a very tired leopard with the brown and pink product dots already stamped all over my face. Starting with the makeup already on your skin is a good trick to catch attention right away.

The product itself actually performs beautifully. It blends out incredibly fast when you are rushing to get kids out the door for school. You just dot the liquid onto your cheekbones and buff it out with a damp sponge. The formula melts right into your skin without looking muddy or patchy.

If you look closely at the orange sponge I am using in the second frame, you will notice a faint blue ink mark near the bottom. My youngest decided my makeup bag was an art supply box earlier that week. I just washed the sponge and kept using it.

To be completely honest with you, this video totally tanked. It barely scraped five hundred views. Showing the real-time blending usually builds trust with my audience. In this case, I think people are just entirely fatigued by seeing these specific contour wands on every single app. My regular followers clearly prefer when I share my actual chaotic morning routines rather than a perfectly lit beauty demonstration. Next time I will just stick to drinking my cold coffee and telling a quick story.
