If you have a toddler and a bucket of soapy water, you have at least twenty minutes of peace. This video is exactly that. It shows my youngest giving his faded plastic Cozy Coupe a full detailing job in the driveway. I set him up with a giant yellow sponge and some baby shampoo because I did not want to deal with accidental eye stings later.

The setup is brilliant for killing time before a nap. He took the whole job so seriously. If you look closely at the fifteen second mark, you can see him scrubbing the plastic gas cap with an old toothbrush. That was completely his own idea. He really wanted to get the spring pollen out of those tiny crevices. I paid him in fruit snacks when he finally finished the hubcaps.

The algorithm did not push this one very far. It stalled out around four hundred views. The people who did see it actually stuck around to comment. The engagement rate was over twenty percent because every parent recognizes the mild desperation of a Tuesday morning sensory activity. Adding that old seventies car wash song in the background probably helped keep the retention up. It is not the most viral thing I have ever filmed. It is just a highly realistic look at how we survive a long morning wake window.
