Spring break of 2026 nearly took me out. This video is just me sitting in my car right after dropping the kids back at school. I stare blankly for a second before grabbing my absolute favorite tortoiseshell sunglasses and sliding them on. That is the whole visual. The text overlay is about that exact moment your pre-kid personality finally returns to your body after a week of relentless parenting.

I think the video works because it captures a very specific type of exhaustion. If you look closely at the reflection in my left sunglass lens, you can actually see a rogue crushed goldfish cracker stuck to my steering wheel. I did not even notice it until I was editing. It is the perfect unintentional metaphor for the crumb-filled chaos we leave behind when we finally get a second to breathe. I love those glasses but the frames are honestly a little too heavy for everyday wear. They look great for a ten-second dramatic moment in a parked car.

This clip did not go massively viral. It only hit about four hundred views. The people who saw it felt it deeply though. An engagement rate near fifteen percent tells me the moms who found this video felt completely seen. The hook was a bit slow, probably because the boring gray car ceiling is the first thing you see. Next time I would start with the sunglasses already in my hand to get straight to the point. Still, it is a completely honest snapshot of maternal survival.
