On the go activity my daughter loves!!

I posted this back in March when half the parents I know were actively dreading their upcoming spring break flights. The video walks through a tri-fold magnetic puzzle book my daughter is currently fixated on. If you watch the first few seconds, you will see how it opens up to reveal three separate puzzle scenes. That is the main reason I bought it in the first place. You get multiple activities in one flat object, which slides right into an already overstuffed carry-on bag.

My honest verdict is that we rarely leave the house without it now. The best part of the video is right around the four-second mark when I do a close-up of the pieces actually snapping onto the board. I am slightly obsessed with the tactile feedback of these puzzle pieces. The magnets are strong enough that they make a tiny, satisfying thud when they connect. It is brilliant for a toddler's fine motor practice. Another small detail I love is how the outer cover is just stiff enough to act as a lap desk when we are stuck in traffic.

This post did not go massively viral, getting just under a thousand views. I suspect the hook was a little slow because I started the video holding a closed cardboard folder. That is not exactly the most thrilling visual to stop a scrolling thumb. But the moms who stayed to watch the magnetic pieces stick upside down immediately understood the appeal. Nobody wants to spend a long car ride awkwardly reaching backwards trying to find a missing piece of cardboard on the floorboards. This solves the lost-piece problem completely.
